Dubrovnik. Whew! I arrived with the ferry early in the morning. It was just after 7 am when I passed through the city walls and sat down with an espresso to get a feeling for the place. The cobblestoned main street was almost empty. Just a few locals who were on their way to work. A few hours later, after I finished unpacking at my guesthouse, my heart almost stopped. The streets were filled with groups of tourists, each following a tour guide waving a flag on a stick.
I have a phobia. I´m not sure what it is called, but I just can't stand other tourists! Whenever the percentage of bad-fitting shorts and white tube socks gets to high, I feel like the walls are closing in. I guess too many tourists make it feel less genuine to me. But honestly, it’s really more of a love/hate relationship. Most of them are very photogenic and sometimes I can spend hours trying to capture them.
