What do you do to help other, to do their lives a little bit better? That is the question I asked myself a few years ago. Since then, my life have looked a lot different. Instead of living to earn money, I earn the money I need to live the life I want. Since mid-february I've been working with the brilliant Sara Hansson on a non-profit organisation. And after days and nights of insane work we where able to launch it all yesterday - on my 30th birthday.
EYE AM aims to give kids in developing countries the possibility to tell the rest of the world the story about their lives, instead of just letting the media world slant it the way that sells. We'll be doing photography workshops together with the kids and their work will be shown all over the globe.
Right now, we are running a funding campaign over at IndieGogo to raise the money we need to buy the first 20 sets of cameras and computers. But to be able to succeed with this, we need your help. The thing these kinds of crowdfunding campaigns is that, even if you get your money back if the project doesn't reach its goal, people wait to contribute until they see that other people are doing it. They need to see that other people believe in the project before they dare to.
So I would like to ask you to help me raise the first part of the funds and help us show that this is something to believe in! If you think that everyone should have the ability to show their lives through photography and social media, give us your blessing by pre-ordering a book.
Thank you guys, you are the best! :)
