Don't worry. This is not the weird, pot-smoking, new-age kind of blog. It's just about how to live a passionate life, where you do what you love every minute. In my case it is photography, travels and new experiences.
Zen means being aware of your oneness with the world and everything in it. Zen means living in the present and experiencing reality fully. Zen means being free of the distractions and illusory conflicts of the material world.
My name is Jens Lennartsson and I was born in the south of Sweden. I'm a traveler, photographer and minimalist. I love people, good food (actually any food) and freedom. I don't hate anything.
I started The Zen Photographer as a way to explore what would happen with my photography if I cut away all distractions, everything I didn't need. I threw out my TV, I got rid of all my books (thank you Kindle), I sold all the camera equipment that I didn't really need and I donated 80% of my wardrobe. I´ve never felt better.
In an age where we've forgotten who we are and what we need, we try to fill the void with materialistic belongings. The photography business nonetheless! The Zen Photographer tries to figure out the connection between feelings and photography. Meetings and storytelling. The ability to see something abstract and to show it through pictures to someone else. Anything that will take our minds off the ISO and exposure value and help us find out what photography is really about.
